Agricultural Learning Centre

Get up close to animals, hands-on displays, and local agriculture — a fun way to learn how our region grows and produces.

Where curiosity meets agriculture

The Agricultural Learning Centre (ALC) showcases our region’s agriculture in a fun, hands-on format. It’s a place to meet animals, explore interactive displays, and learn how farming and food production shape our community.

Agriculture has always been at the heart of the Gawler Show — and the ALC helps open the door for more educational programs, schools, and agri-businesses to get involved. Over time, we’re working toward expanding this space into a bigger Ag Precinct that inspires the next generation to join the industry.

Supported by local student volunteers

A huge part of what makes the ALC special is the people behind it. Local students volunteer their time to help visitors learn, explore, and enjoy the experience.

Their dedication has played a big role in the ALC’s growth year after year, and we’re proud to support the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Part of Nixon’s Animal Adventures

The Agricultural Learning Centre is also a featured stop in Nixon’s Animal Adventures - a free family activity that encourages kids to explore the animal exhibits and learn fun facts along the way.
