The construction of the Tapa Pariara River Cycling/Walking path will benefit many Show attendees, now connecting Gawler West to the Nixon Terrace showgrounds by way of a footbridge most closely associated with the southern end of the Show and Side Show Alley.
This new access will provide a larger area for those to consider parking in the wider street off Lawrence Avenue and around 14th Street.
Please refer to local signage on display over show weekend to highlight parking areas.
Please pay careful attention to the parking regulations while at the Gawler Show. It is our intention that you enjoy a family friendly day that does not include an infringement notice to greet you when you return to your vehicle.
As Gawler’s largest event on the annual calendar, it is also regularly attended by both SA Police and Town of Gawler Parking Inspectors.
The Council Reserve on Corner of Lawrence Avenue & Marsh Avenue has been made available for Charity groups to sell parking for the Show.
Both these Lawrence Avenue parking areas give close access via the new footbridge to Gate 1 on Nixon Terrace (near the sideshows).
Sporting organisations also offer paid parking opportunities in close proximity to the grounds, namely the Gawler Bowling Club and the Gawler Tennis Club.
This enables a great fundraising opportunity for those organisations and helps to provide much needed relief to a heavily trafficked area.
