SA Country Shows – an experience of country life!

The Agricultural Societies Council of SA Inc is the governing body of 49 country shows in South Australia.

SA Country Shows provide a unique opportunity for all members of the community to be involved in staging a successful event that provides fun and entertainment for the whole family.

SA Country Shows feature prize-winning local & regional competitions, and exciting stalls & displays that showcase local produce, the skills and talents of people in the community.

The Agricultural Societies Council of SA Inc run a number of competitions that are held at local, regional and state level. Competitions include:

Rich Fruit Cake Championship
Genoa Cake Competition
CWA/Laucke Scone Competition
Rural Ambassador Award
Young Rural Ambassador Award

State Finals for the above competitions are staged during the Royal Adelaide Show, with the exception of the Young Rural Ambassador Award which is held in conjunction with the SA Country Shows Symposium in July.
