Showcase What You Make

Competitions are where creativity meets community. Whether you’re entering a quilt, a cake, a photo, home-grown produce, a painting, or a school project — there’s a place for everyone.

We’re still finalising this year’s full schedule and prize information, but this page will give you the basics (and a placeholder while details are confirmed).

How competitions work

Choose a section: Find what you want to enter (handicraft, photos, cooking, art, produce, schools, and more).
Check the rules: Each class has entry requirements (sizes, themes, presentation, eligibility, etc.).
Submit your entry: Register your details online and follow any instructions for drop-off.
Bring it in: Items are delivered during the entry drop-off window (details coming soon).
Judging & display: Judges review entries, ribbons are awarded, and entries are displayed for show weekend.

COMPETITIONS FAQ

Do I need to live locally to enter?

No. You can live anywhere and still participate. The only requirement is that you are able to drop off your entries at the designated location(s) when required.

When do entries open and close?

Entries historically open 100 days out from the Show - this year comps open 21 May 2026. Online Competitions close 11.59pm 14 August 2026, paper entries close COB 7 August 2026.

How do I submit entries this year?

This year we’re using showday.online for competition entries. Next year, entries will be handled directly on this website through EntryGate.

What if I need help with my entry?

If you’re unsure which class to enter or have questions about requirements, contact us and we’ll point you in the right direction.
