Competitions

From handicraft and photography to cooking, art, and more — competitions are the heart of the Show.

Showcase what you make

Competitions are where creativity meets community. Whether you’re entering a quilt, a cake, a photo, home-grown produce, a painting, or a school project — there’s a place for everyone.

We’re still finalising this year’s full schedule and prize information, but this page will give you the basics (and a placeholder while details are confirmed).

How competitions work

  • Choose a section: Find what you want to enter (handicraft, photos, cooking, art, produce, schools, and more).

  • Check the rules: Each class has entry requirements (sizes, themes, presentation, eligibility, etc.).

  • Submit your entry: Register your details online and follow any instructions for drop-off.

  • Bring it in: Items are delivered during the entry drop-off window (details coming soon).

  • Judging & display: Judges review entries, ribbons are awarded, and entries are displayed for show weekend.
