Quick essentials — tickets, location, and the easiest ways to arrive.
Before you arrive
We want you through the gates fast and straight into the fun. A few quick tips go a long way:
- Tickets: Pre-purchase online where possible to skip the longest queues.
- Timing: Late morning to midday is usually busiest — arriving earlier is smoother.
- Signage: Follow event signs and marshal directions (they’ll route you to the best available options).
If you’re meeting friends, pick a meeting spot before you arrive — it saves time later.

For the most reliable route, use GPS and search “Gawler Showgrounds”. Traffic and access can change on show day, so we recommend following event signage as you get closer.
Arriving on the day
Here’s the quick on-the-day guide — the stuff that helps most people avoid the “where do we go?” moment.
Best arrival times
- Smoothest arrival: earlier in the morning (or later afternoon).
- Busiest: late morning → midday (especially Saturday).
- Allow extra time: if you’re bringing prams, mobility aids, or meeting a group.
Drop-off / pick-up (rideshare + family pickups)
- Drop-off: Use the signed drop-off zone at (add location).
- Pick-up: Meet at (add meeting point) — a short walk from the gates is usually easier than stopping right at the entry.
Tip: send your pick-up point before you head in. Reception can get busy around peak times.

Accessible parking is located along Nixon Terrace and Paterson Terrace near Gates 1–4 (where available). Please follow signage and marshal directions on the day.
